One night, from Sunday to Monday, I decided to investigate what the ASMR is and why it’s so big genre so rapidly.
What is the ASMR?
When I get to bed, dead tired, I am one of those people who have a hard time falling asleep. That is because I have a bad habit of taking the cell phone and checking the networks when I am already in bed. Frankly, a shitty habit. To correct my life and my dream, I started looking for ways to fall asleep other than counting backwards from 100-1, breathing 321 or taking a pill. That’s how I arrived between Google and Wikipedia at ASMR, a new world for me.
First I Needed To Understand What The Heck Is This ASMR?
If YouTube is so full of these videos, I first had to understand what it means. ASMR, which in English is Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ( Autonomous Meridian Sensory Response , in other sense is a term that refers to the biological phenomenon whose main characteristic is pleasant sensation , and that even in some cases can cause some tingling. This feeling can be perceived in the head or in different peripheral regions of the body in response to mainly auditory stimuli.
ASMR Is For Sleep And Tranquility
That is to say: the purpose of these videos is pleasure or to achieve the ideal tranquility, to rest and sleep.
Popularly, it is also known as Brain Orgasm and has its reasons for it. While ASMR does not produce the same effect on all people, many have reported that it feels like an orgasm that is born from the back of the neck or behind the ears . There are people who claim to have felt deep tickles that run through the spine
What Is ASMR Youtube?
Speaking of YouTube, I decided to go directly to the platform and put ASMR in the search engine. It was about two o’clock in the morning from one night from Sunday to Monday and I couldn’t find a way to relax. As soon as I clicked on the first video I found, a suggestion of using headphones for a better experience was the first thing that appeared.
And as a good child I paid attention.
Lights off, lying down, headphones on. Play .
ASMR VIDEOS ON YOU TUBE
Most videos are long lasting. Almost all last at least ten minutes and accumulate millions of visits. In general, those who star in them are men and women who seem to be no more than 30 years old and who start talking to you slowly, they whisper to you and make each word spoken softly. In fact, you can notice even the minimum sounds that arise from the contact of the lips.
Everything sounded normal, until the young woman began to brush her nails over the microphone. I felt a needle in my neck, and as I kept whispering or making different sounds with her mouth or with objects, I felt like I was getting stuck. Like I didn’t feel the desire or the strength to open my eyes. I suddenly got scared and thought I was feeling the effects of digital hypnosis, but I got carried away.
Then they were tickling in the column that joined those I was already feeling in my neck and behind my ears, as the explanations on the Internet said. I stayed in that trance for a moment until that sound began as if you were sticking your tongue inside your ear. I felt a spasm and automatically hunched over. Exorcism? In a moment I thought about it, but no. It was entertaining; I don’t know whether to describe it as an orgasm, but as a semi-orgasm, or as that feeling before it occurs. That’s how graphic everything is.
ASMR SLEEP HYPNOSIS
I continued with three more videos (yes, I was a little more than an hour immersed in the world of ASMR ) and the sensations that are perceived are different according to the stimuli you hear. If in some you feel that your eyelids hang locks and you are about to sleep deeply, there are others in which you experience erections and tingling in that area. Something like a sensation that tells your body: masturbate.
The ASMR is an overdose of that feeling when you’re covered, cold, and it rains outside; that pleasure that constant noises give. But not everything is beautiful: in different portals or in Facebook groups and YouTube channels you can read comments from different people who feel relaxed with the ASMR.
I found ASMR the real solution of my sleep les nights. Thanks to that I slept calmly and said goodbye to that Spotify list of nature sounds to fall asleep that never worked for me.
So that’s how I got ASMR and found it so beneficial and relaxing in nature.
